Utensil Friends.
I got myself into Emergency Blip territory again this evening. Thanks to Rannochgirl for this excellent term! So, casting my eye around the kitchen, I noticed my jar full of cooking utensils acquired over 30+ years living in Boston. The white ceramic jar itself is a veteran from 1987. And the one with the richest patina is the beechwood paddle that has absorbed so much soffritto that it is stained to a rich brown, and stirred so many risotti to al dente-ness, that its corners are rounded to match the bottom of the Le Creuset "French" oven. Good to have old friends.
