i've not been shy with iPhoto & PSE tweeking of late, but i'm quite pleased with this one, which is straight from camera to blip. it is out the train window, on the way home. it is a colour picture, but there wasn't much colour through the grubby window - something i was glad of this afternoon.
by the time i got to my last connection, i was feeling sleepy. i had woken up at 6.30am feeling worried about various things that i need to sort out - mostly the old house i rent out (because i have to rather than because i want to). having gone to bed at 1am, it was no wonder i felt sleepy.
on the way home i'd lots of time to think. i'm reading a book about forgetting and the digital age. it worries me how much stuff we create every day and keep and intend to keep forever. its not a good worry (or maybe it is) for someone who works in digital preservation... after that i read about the haiti earthquake and the aid efforts. horrific, terrible, inspiring and very, very sad. then the next government, which scares me.
it wasn't a massively cheerful ride home. but it did make me think.
i'm glad to be home.
