Nesting Coot

A trip down to Inverleith Pond. I was expecting to see some chicks, but the only one I saw belonged to a duck, and they were swimming quite fast.

I did get a good photograph of the coot in hiding in the reeds. Looking shy, but if you have eggs, or are expecting eggs, you'd be shy as well.
