Lydia's lamp

Something different from me tonight, but still on the flower theme. This is the base of a paraffin lamp that belonged to hubby's granny. It has many happy memories for him. He used to carry it up the stairs to light the way when as a child he had a sleepover at his grandparents' house. At that time in the mid 1950s they had no electricity, an outside toilet and pumped water. How the world has changed in our lifetime!
