Making up for lost time

Too wet for gardening today. Instead a visit from a friend, some grocery shopping and then some veg picking and some cooking.

I'm not sure what I would have been up to, gardening-wise, anyway. My upper arm is growing some impressive bruises after yesterday's interesting falling in the hedge thing, and my right side feels rather achy.

When the rain stopped and the sun came out, the bees came back immediately.
There's something totally glorious about sunshine after the rain on a summer's day

Gemma came home tonight. There's something rather glorious about having another woman in the house too!
