Crystal
For the last week I've been filming the story of how a Derbyshire well dressing is made.
It;s a fascinating and really enjoyable process that not only results in a great end result but also gibes the opportunity of people coming together.
I say this as this year the church dressing was a few people down (the stalwarts) and after filming the initial stages I was slightly concerned that there weren't enough to make it happen on time and even suggested a call to arms involving an advertisement!
But! When the chips are down.
The first day of dressing and lo and behold a new well dressing crowd emerged and my goodness how they are enjoying the wonderful bonding experience that pushing flowers into clay can give you.
It's a bit like doing a huge communal jigsaw puzzle that all the world can see.
Here's a picture of Crystal a fully paid up stalwart of the Church Well Dressing gang who is seen here deep in concentration.
