Dead End Street

I've always thought that if I was ever on Tower Bridge when it opened then this is the photograph that I'd like to get.

Tonight my dream came true!

As I crossed the mighty bridge the sirens sounded, the gates closed and the bridge opened slowly and silently.

All the photogs scarpered to their ideal vantage spot.

Funny that I was the only guy who vaulted the fence and ran to the middle of the road?

Pity I missed the beautiful sunset silhouetting the bridge against the city skyline.....

I like it anyway!
