Caravan of Love

CleanSteve met me after work, to take me to Gloucester, where I was due to meet a friend after her counselling session. We had a drink in the docks area, but I didn't take any pics, which is kind of stupid. Some weird dude who was really, really into Northern Soul was trying to chat her up. I should have just wandered off to take photos. More interesting....

Then we went to my climbing club for another drink, coffee in my case, and I met the guy who leads days of outdoor climbing in the Forest of Dean. I'm keen! After that we hit the charity shops and a few 'normal' shops, and I got a few bargains. Gloucester in the heat is pretty naff, unless you're down by the water. It gets hot and smelly and overrun by seagulls, even in the town centre. The library was nice and cool, though!

My friend wanted to take the train home, rather than the bus, so we did that, even though it is uber-expensive for me. It is certainly quieter outside of commuter hours! I snapped this random shot of a caravan in Stonehouse from the train, after realising I hadn't got a blip. When we got back to Stroud, my friend had just missed her bus, and it was raining. I got on a total boneshaker of a circular route, the 8A, and arrived home laden with parcels and purchases. While I was out, my beach / sun shelter had arrived, so I put it up in the living room for practice. (The garden was too wet). We could always watch Glastonbury in it!

Song: Caravan of Love, not the housemartins version but the R&B one
