Beauty is within grasp...

Read Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" in one sitting last night. I'd been warned, but it was just so harrowing, my heart hurts. Disturbed dreams all night.

So, I knew when I got up I wanted beauty, and life, and the healing power of nature, so headed to the beach to play. Took so many shots, and lots I'm pleased with - me and my new camera are learning more about each other every day - but this one seemed to sum it up for me - those beautiful berries, bursting with life and colour, able to sustain and create life, but surrounded by thorny spikes..
