Freshwater Hoglouse

We had a massive science outreach event on campus today, the 'Big Bang'.

There were hundreds of school children and other members of the public at the event, and dozens upon dozens of marvellous scientific stalls. The whole event was really fantastic!

I took this snap by holding my camera up to the eye piece of a microscope - the environmental scientists were explaining what organisms are present in pond water.
