DALES OF THE UNEXPECTED . . .
Not long to go now . . . I am so proud to be a Yorkshireman and welcome everyone to the start of the 2014 Tour de France cycle race which will be moving swiftly through this area in 10 days.

This is a view of Wensleydale, with Pen Hill in the background. Local roads will be closed early so that the Tour Riders can streak through. It is going to be a grand occasion and many surprises await the cyclists.
