Beware Giant Pandas at large.

Three giant pandas each weighing a ton and a half are in residence on a Newport roundabout. This is at junction 26 to the M4 motorway at Malpas Road

The models each standing over six feet tall and carved from recycled oak were Newport in Bloom's Christmas present to the people of the city.


"Pandas were chosen as the creatures to sit on the island as it is the emblem of the World Wildlife Fund and keeps the spirit of wildlife conservation going in the City.
