Long shadows

Had an hour or so to spare between finishing our racketball game and picking up Campbell from kayaking so took wander up to the Stones of Stenness to see if we could get some dramatic sunset pics... forgetting that it was only 9pm and sunset wasn't until much later.

Lots of tourist taking advantage of the beautiful evening and wandering round the stones. It's always nice to see the monuments through the eyes of people who don't live alongside evidence of Orkney's neolithic past on a daily basis. Sometimes we forget that it's not everyone who has a standing stone at the bottom of their garden.
