Tullis Russell

Making paper on the same site at Markinch, Fife for over 200 years is no mean feat but this company has always been innovative and today it is competing successfully in many specialist paper and board markets at home and abroad.

A major milestone was the transfer from family to employee ownership in 1994. Today the strapline Employee owned, partnership driven is incorporated in the company logo.

New this year on the site of a former works social club is the Tullis Russell Environmental Education Centre (T.R.E.E.) which as you might imagine is a mainly wooden structure incorporating old timbers from the the old social club as an internal design feature. This facility has already hosted hundreds of primary school children.
