A Mother Grebe on a bed of Lilly Pads

Every time we go to the Vieux Rhone, there she is, sitting pretty on her nest on the lily pads waiting for her young to hatch. She is under a bower of branches therefore difficult to photograph. Today I realised that crawling up the tree trunk, overhanging the nest, might be a good view point. Getting back down again was more nerve racking!
