The Jester Orchid
We were supposed to have a delivery of sun chairs yesterday, but as yet they haven't arrived and it still states a Tuesday 24th June delivery on the tracking order. I am beginning to wonder...............
Anyway as JJ is at home today and having dropped a hint that his study needs dusting, left him to it whilst I took a stroll around the block.
I got as far as the playing field before I came across Eric tending his garden, and who I met officially on Sunday, along with his wife Rosemary who is profoundly deaf. Their garden is stunning and as I found out, both theirs and their daughter's two doors way, were landscaped when the houses were built thirteen years ago. Rosemary gardens every day looking after both gardens and has seemingly endless energy for someone in her seventies.
So that took up at least half an hour because one of the ladies from the Riding for the Disabled and her two dogs, a standard poodle and a labradoodle happened along and joined in. To cut a long story a bit shorter, she is going to take me up to my favourite tree one day soon so I can see what it is and maybe take a few photographs of the surrounding area. I can't go on my own because of the inevitable 'ealf un safety.
Having eventually escaped I made my way round to the top of the playing field where I spotted this little chap. So that's it for today, a laughing orchid. It's similar to a bee orchid but I haven't been able to identify it correctly. He looks a cheerful chap.
