Poinsettia Glow

I figured there was only a week of life left in this year's holiday Poinsettia plant, so I spent a couple of days experimenting with light painting, 3D, and black and white effects.

For this light painting effect, I set up a black backdrop in a darkened room and used a Mini Mag Lite to apply light to selected petals and leaves. Trial and Error with constant "chimping" resulted in a unique image every time. This is one of four that I deemed worthy as "keepers".

There is no extra Photoshop wizadry here except for basic tone and color corrections along with some judicious cropping.
