Sock No. 5 Update : Turning the Heel

An update to my entry yesterday. Ch is using three colours of wool, and now turning the heel. Talk about complicated. I sit in amazement, as the five needles click and twist.

Anyway, we are NOT AMUSED. CJ is stuck in London due to French Air Traffic Controllers' Strike. It seems to be affecting internal UK flights. He should have been on a flight from Heathrow back to Glasgow around 19.00. It was cancelled. Other flights being cancelled or are full. BA then bused a group to Gatwick for a flight at 21.15. That has now been delayed until at least 23.15. No hotel accommodation left at Gatwick. Why can't BA just shuttle their planes within the UK, and keep their customers happy, instead of complicating the issue by moving planes around Europe avoiding closed air space. It can't be that difficult to organise, especially when they knew about it at least 24 hours ago. And no mention of food or drink vouchers. I feel a Victor Meldrew moment coming on.

Later edit : he returned home around 1.45 am! To add more insult to injury, M8 was closed at the airport.
