Ragusa Ibla

Night falls over the old town of Ragusa - a spectacular baroque metropolis clinging precariously to a steep hillside. We ate in a Slow Food restaurant - gorgeous - and I was able to enjoy a passagiato with the rest of the townsfolk after dinner. It was really lively on the streets!

Earlier we explored the Castello Donnafugata - a symphony of faded grandeur - and visited the beach at Sampieri, where I got to rest my foot and read Americanah. First day of walking properly since Friday - it's aching now, but overall pretty good!
