The Pilgrimage

I got this Paolo Coehlo book for 20pence from the fair at Monks Kirby last Sunday. The title much like represents my PhD journey. A search for academic significance.

This book will have to wait since i am still reading Book 4 of Game of Thrones. I will have to squeeze this in before moving on to Book 5.

Today i declined a free workshop on Parallel Programming using MPI at Edinburgh EPCC that is going to be held next week because the train ticket even with a Railcard is impractically expensive. I was a bit disappointed. I was in the waiting list of participants but the slot opened just today. Too late to book a good train ticket.
