Plant head

This Sculpture is starting to disappear into the undergrowth at Norton Priory. Liked the colours , although its made of cement and isn't actually a bronze. By Diane Gorvis 1989.lant Head was modelled in clay and cast into glass reinforced concrete and painted with Acrylic.

The 132cm high sculpture is sited on a bank overlooking the little stream that runs through the grounds.

It is designed to draw people further into the lovely gardens of the Museum. Its position on a circular path route means it has a different aspect depending on the approach, from one direction the face is on view, and from the other it looks to be an abstracted plant form, so when one looks around the work the face comes as a surprise.
