The beans, the fresh garlic and the shallots were all off the allotment. Always very satisfying :)
What we do with broad beans is gently fry the shallots and garlic in olive oil for a couple of minutes; add in the beans and some fresh coriander/cilantro. Add a dash of white wine, maybe some lemon juice. Cover and turn the heat very low, let it stew for 20 minutes or so.
