WATERSMEET
This morning we drove to Selworthy, a picturesque village with lots of thatched cottages. We did a woodland walk which took us down into the valley. We had a delicious homemade quiche lunch at a Natural Trust tearoom.
Porlock Weir, an old fishing harbour was our next stop and we had an exhilarating walk along the pebbly beach.
We then ventured into North Devon (without realising it!) and went to Watersmeet. This was a dramatic river gorge where the East Lyn river and Hoar Oak Water join. We walked along the river and into the ancient woodland.
I took this blip on our way back. These two young people had decided to cool down in one of the waterfalls.
