My Life~ A New Beginning

Resurfaced Memories

Was feeling a bit stressed and decided a drive down to Bradenton Beach and Coquina Beach would loosen the kinks. The drive is just under 15 minutes and normally is quite scenic. Not so the case today. Everywhere I looked there was death or dying of our beautiful palm trees and every other imagineable plant, shrub, and vegetation considered tropical. It truly was heart-breaking to see.

To make matters worse I was inudated with bitter sweet memories of another day and time. Specifically ,Nov. 27th, 'Black Friday'( the day after Thanksgiving). I went to the very same spots that day to take pictures also. The only difference was I had Buddy with me that day. It was the very last excursion we shared together. He stayed in the car while I went here and there to shoot my pics, but he loved going bye bye and was far too ill to walk, so he didn't mind at all. He simply loved the outing and getting to spend time with 'mama'. I was flooded with memories of that day and the knowledge that 20 days later he would be gone forever. Today's excursion released more tears while it was soothing to be by the sea. This was the first trip to the beaches since Buddy and I had gone together.......and now my heart is grieving all over again!
