Brown Water

This little picturesque pond is a little manufactured feature on the walk up the hill the Dalbeattie Forest. The water is brown because of the very peaty soil that the water course runs through. It was getting very warm with no breeze as such. By the end of the walk old Dixie was finding it a bit too hot and was on a go slow, not that we were too worried, anything that delays our return to the big city is to be welcomed.
