My Mini Adventure

Pretty trees

A quick snap this morning at the end of the rehearsal for the Junior School Summer Concert which is tonight. The trees at the entrance to the marquee on the school field have been decorated with ribbon, pom-poms and lanterns. Pretty.

To explain the marquee: we don't have a hall big enough to fit all the boys and their families into for this sort of event so once a year a marquee is hired. It's put to good use for things like Prize Giving, classical concerts, the PTA ball, Sixth Form Leaver's Ball, to name just a few. After that it tends to stay there for a couple of weeks into the holidays so that it can be used for wedding receptions for those people who have chosen the school chapel as their marriage venue! Yes, I know, it's a different world at a private school sometimes!!
