Pearl diving!

I met Mr. Khalid by chance and got myself invited to go pearl diving. Ok, not me, I was merely there to take photos:-) It was a funtastic day! On the boat ride, got to see Bahrain from a different angle and also watched them spend what seemed like endless hours diving for oysters. I even had a lesson on how to open oysters. I have a better appreciation for pearls. It is said that there might be a pearl in 1 of 200 oysters opened. Mr. Khalid was kind enough to give me some to open at home but sadly not one had a single pearl:( Hope to have better luck next time.

Here they are pulling out a bag of oysters, it took almost an hour to fill it up!
