Uni-Cycles?

Today's shot is from on campus, featuring some of the many bikes parked up in front of the hoardings that surround the Registry Building, which has nearly finished being remediated.

The hand prints on the hoarding were put there during Orientation week at the start of the semester, and they give a nice bright and colourful feel to an otherwise plain fence.

I chose this shot as today it's been announced that the Christchurch City Council will soon start work on a cycle way - dubbed Uni-Cycle - to link the city and the University Campus in Ilam, passing through Hagley Park and Riccarton Bush en-route.

Sounds like a great idea, and hopefully will encourage safe and congestion free commuting to those who live in the corridor between the CBD and University.
