The Cliffs of Moher
We returned by ferry to Doolin today but as they were so close by and Rachel has never seen them we went to the cliffs of Moher, along with thousands of other visiors! So glad we don't get that level of tourism in WEst Cork although it would be great for business. Undoubtedly a spectacular site and I saw my first Puffins at a distance, I'm amazed there aren't more accidents though as folk were sitting with legs dangling over a fragile, crumbling edge!
Before the long drive home we went to Linahanes Bar on the Flaggy Shore in Galway Bay, they serve some fabulous local seafood dishes and the limestone pavements along the coast are wonderful, full of rock pools and on this occasion beached jelly fish.
