Cream Egg

So it's past New Year and the shops are full of Easter Eggs. There's 2 things about creme eggs I have noticed this year

1. Creme being spelt Creme - I could have sworn it was Cream Eggs!!

2. The wrappers are only purple, yellow and red. I recall as a kid them being green and blue too? What happened?
