All fine

To Kirkintilloch tonight to see friends I haven't seen for ages. In fact we had to have Christmas all over again as there were many gifts to exchange.

These friends love all things fine, so we enjoyed fine wine, fine lamb curry, Nigella's superb girdle-busting pie (a more appropriate name I can't imagine) and all in front of a roaring fire. Even the books in the guest room were fine; luckily I managed to fit my Beano inside one of the bigger ones without anyone suspecting.
