Journey's end

We have a new graduate in the family. It all started three years ago and now she's joined the BA Hons club. So very, very proud. If her mum was still alive she'd be beaming. We celebrated with a glass of champagne amidst the debris of our half fitted kitchen. That's the way of the world. Things never stand still, thank god.

As for me, had a disco in the dentist's surgery tonight which was great fun. You had to be there. And met a plasterer who had clearly been kidnapped by aliens. More than once...

PS - and of course being my daughter she HAS to correct her father and point out that between getting her results and the degree ceremony on the 9th July she is a graduand, not a graduate... That's the dork gene for you ...
