Silver Umbrella

Have spent most of the day checking my D700 and 105mm lens.
For the first time in my life I dropped my camera yesterday. Thankfully I always have a UV filter on my lenses as this took most of the impact. There is a large chunk missing from the metal surround on the filter so that gives you an idea of the force the lens hit the tripod leg.
Judging by a whole series of photographs I took I think everything is ok.
I took over 100 shots of the inside of my reflection umbrella. Boring but necessary.
This blip will be my constant reminder that dropping cameras is not recommended......
