Whitby old town evening stroll

Lots to see and do in the old town, cafes and shops tend to stay open late, and the pubs make themselves attractive with hanging baskets, etc.
The walrus and the carpenter has re opened recently, the sign came down three years ago, and was sorely missed, great to see it's back! :-)
For the energetic there's always the challenge of the 199 steps that lead up to the Abbey, which we rather sensibly declined!
All the old favourites are still there, the jet shops and of course the famous "Fortunes Kippers" still gives off that Oak smoke aroma as you walk by.. smashing!
