Yellow Fever Strikes Yorkshire

A particularly virulent strain of Yellow Fever is currently holding Yorkshire in its grip. Nowhere in the county seems to have escaped unscathed. Nowhere in the county seems safe as the fever, known as ‘Le Tour’, increases its stranglehold daily, manifesting itself in yellow jumper, yellow bunting or yellow bicycle outbreaks. Experts have estimated that the fever will reach its climax on Sunday July 06. As the madness increases, even lying down in a darkened room until the worst of the danger is over is no guarantee of escaping its clutches. No one in Yorkshire is safe, and coming so shortly after the recent disastrous outbreak of ‘World Cup Fever’, the health of the county is causing serious concern. Today’s photograph is of a typical outbreak, proof that not even your favourite café in Keighley can’t be considered a stronghold and safe haven against the mania, although it is well known that all parts of Bronte country are particularly badly affected.
