Bull Finch

Spent the afternoon at Mere Sands Wood. All the open water was still frozen so all the winter ducks had legged it to the coast so it was woodland birds that were the main interest. Now who says the UK has'nt got any exotic looking birds. The male Bull Finch is a cracker with his pink breast and black cap. Not the greatest of shots I admit, the light was low and at the max range of my 400mm zoom.
