Puffin'

Winging in, puffin' with effort holding a beakful of sand eels, swerving to avoid the menacing black headed gulls, this little chap was trying to feed his nesting family.

The ground was full of burrows where the puffins were breeding on Farne Island this afternoon. Lovely to see but a tad traumatic with the hard working puffins being robbed of their catch as they came into land!

Carrying all my lenses I was puffin' too but boy was I smiling!!
