Messing about on the river

Decided to go for a little walk for taking photos today, down by the river. Like a muppet I went in a dress and sandals, meaning any forays off the path resulted in bramble scratches and nettle stings!

These lads looked and sounded like they were having a great time with their rubber dinghys on the water!

The Rat-Catcher has been! Apparently we have both rats and mice! He has put chocolate scented/flavoured bait down for them, and some glue boards, which bear a resemblance to waxing strips. He put an enticing little sprinkle of cocoa powder on them and put them in strategic locations so that when the little trespassers venture on to sample the goodies, they find themselves stuck fast! We then phone him to collect them and he takes them away and...Well, I don't want to know!!
