Feliz Cumpleaños

It is Mum's 89th birthday tomorrow. She held a little "at home" for a dozen or so guests earlier today, which was a great success.

Jacqui and I were on hand as co-hosts (more barman in my case) and later we went down to George's for a disappointing supper of overcooked tandoori skewers!

At least I got a discount on the bill after Jacqui explained in Spanish that, no, everything was not alright. Rather took the waitress by surprise. Brits Abroad don't tend to complain as much as they should.

But we live here. We know better.
