Excitement

We called in at our neighbours Paulette's as we usually do every few days and there is so often a gathering there of other neighbours. She jokes that it is the local coffee bar .. the Post lady calls in too and has her coffee there. Today there were more than usual and lots of excitement about the Felibree this coming weekend .. Here Gerard, Eric and Roland are poring over the plans for the car parking .. as they are expecting about 20,000 people visiting this weekend for the celebrations .. I sense the excitement and the tension already. The last Felibre here was 40 years ago and I guess the feelings were the same.. it seemed appropriate to give it an old time feel..

And there was a storm here last night and some of the flower decorations had collapsed. well the posts supporting them had come down with the wind and the rain but all the locals pull together to sort out any thing so they are all out there helping. We are packing though as we go back to the UK for the wedding of one of my step daughters.. so we will miss the celebrations here.. Every time we say this to a local they look at us disbelievingly and say "Putain!".
