On the Street Where They Live

I got up early to take some sunrise shots on the Chesapeake Bay, but unfortunately there were lots of clouds and intermittent rain showers, so my results were just mediocre.

When the showers subsided, I went down the street to the pond and came upon this row of canoes, looking very colorful, like fair ladies. In English, boats are among the few inanimate objects that take a gendered pronoun, whereas most others are called it.

I thought I might be able to make the a connection to the “My Fair Lady” theme with these boats that happen to be on the street where our friends live.
