Purple velvet

We had a great day. made a dent in the packing, went to local Summer Fair and then to my folks for a barbeque.

Was great to catch up with the family, and sit outside eating slightly charred meat...yum! The kids played paper aeroplanes and generally mucked about.

Sadly hubby missed it all - workworkboringoldwork :-( Still two weeks together as a family coming soon.
This lovely frilly poppy on its way out caught my attention, pretty till the end.
