Afternoon Tea at David Austin Roses

The most wonderful mid summer destination in England!
The rose gardens were astounding this time, just wall to wall blooms, climbers, shrub roses, roses in urns, ground cover roses, roses, more roses!
The scent when you arrive in the car park is delicious, they have acres of young plants growing on in the nursery beds and with the wonderful weather this month everything is perfection.

We went to meet up with the parents of our new daughter in law to be, and conveniently this paradise on earth is half way between our homes, so where better?

Pete and Pam rolled up in a 48 year old E-type Jag, which had conked out on the way and needed jump starting, but made a new friend in the process.

After a scorching hour wandering around the roses trying to choose our favourites, we retired to the tearoom for a delightful interlude, before a little light shopping for new roses to round off a delightful afternoon!
