Today's the day ........................... to catch up

I'm back!

I've had a great week - but it's good to be back. I've missed you and your journals - and I'm looking forward to catching up with all that you've been doing while I've been away.

I have travelled from Ashton-under-Lyne to Sowerby Bridge by narrowboat - navigating through a total of 97 locks on the Calder & Hebble, Huddersfield Broad, Huddersfield Narrow and Rochdale Canals. Of course, all this would not have been possible without a trusty crew - all ex-Hull University student friends of mine from days gone by.

I've taken loads of pictures - but I'm hoping I can choose one for each day that will give you an idea of what it was like on our good ship Cornwall. This is another blipper - Bkeeper - who was also on board - so no doubt he'll be posting a few shots too.

If you fancy a leisurely trip through some of England's most green and pleasant land, you'll find them here .............................
