Swallow

We went for a lovely drive through Wiltshire, through Avebury, past Silbury Hill, and then walked up to West Kennet Long barrow. It was a glorious day, and the views were stunning.
Avebury and the long barrow were rather busy, because it was the day after the summer solstice.
We sat on top of the barrow and really enjoyed watching a pair of swallows flying around and taking in caught insects to feed their young, which were inside the barrow itself.
This picture is the swallow sitting on top of the large stone at the entrance of the barrow.
We then drove home through Marlborough.
