A life on the ocean wave!

I had signed up to a bird photography boat trip this afternoon, but was advised that the harbour car park filled up very quickly, so I got there ridiculously early.

So ridiculously early, in fact, that I had time for a trip on the Yorkshire Belle beforehand.

From the Yorkshire Belle I took this photo of flying gannets ..

I took surprisingly few photos - a combination of my zoom lens seizing up (having just had a £403 service!) and finding it incredibly hard to focus on a bobbing subject from a bobbing boat!

However I really enjoyed the day - and finally managed to get a photo of a puffin with sand eels in its beak ..
