Touroid Town

I had to be in Edinburgh for 10.45 am. Washed, brushed & suited for a photocall.

Not my usually slobby Sunday.

I can't say more, as the story which surrounds the photocall is embargoed until midnight. Someone has broken the embargo already (before the photos were even taken in fact) but I'm not going to.

Anyway, it was a jolly affair. Lots of smiling faces.

The Blip is Victoria Street, close to the Grassmarket. It was on my route from the car to the place we were meeting.

It used to be part of my neighbourhood when I was school age, in the sense that my school is close by. I always enjoy being back. The main memory is a club called The Place where we used to go for the bands and dancing.

John Mayall's Blues Breakers. The Alex Harvey Band. Stuff like that.

A rabbit warren of basements and narrow staircases.

We were too young to get in, but it seemed to happen anyway.
