Mother of Pearl

This is a glimpse of a fabulous neclace my husband got for me when he visited Fiji last summer.

The visit was not for pleasure but to mourn a loved one, and we will be returning again this coming June to finish the work.

It has rained continuously today, so there was little opportunity to get outside. This is the rain that floods our waterways and overwhelms our gutters.

But this is also the rain that keeps Oregon so green. So I suppose I should really thank the rain even though it keeps me in the house.
