A Quiet Local Walk

After yesterdays eventful day, we did a local walk at Machen Mountain for a couple of hours. It was quite hot and humid, and yet again the horse flies had a feast on me despite being plastered with citronella. The wife seemed to escape their attention despite not having any 'protection' on.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning the windows and sorting out the attic room as we have friends coming to stay next weekend.

I also managed a trip to Makro and a couple of supermarkets to restock on fruit and salad stuffs. The Shiraz was on offer at Makro, and even with 20% VAT added it was a tad over £4 a bottle.

It's a lovely evening and we're sipping a chilled Rose wine. I'm just about to make a salad. The negative of an all-inclusive holiday!
