Close-up Clematis
Another blip from the garden after another day at Stoke's first literary festival.
We went to see and hear A N Wilson in the morning, who has written a fictional work about Josiah Wedgewood. His connection with Stoke-on-Trent is that his father was one of the managing directors of the Wedgewood pottery factory in Barlaston, near Stoke, so he was brought up in the area.
I went for a little bit of retail therapy in Hanley this afternoon, while my other half went to a talk by Antony Beever on his latest work about the second World War.
Other authors around today were the children's writer and illustrator Lauren Child and the evening's talk was from Joanna Trollope.
